Jessica DuffyAttorney

Jessica Duffy was born and raised in Edison, New Jersey. She graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and political science. While home for the summers, Jessica interned at the Union County Superior Court in Elizabeth, New Jersey, where she affirmed her passion for the law. After college, Jessica remained in South Carolina to attend the Charleston School of Law. While in law school, Jessica served as the President of the Children’s Advocacy and Family Law Society and Secretary of her international legal honor society, Phi Delta Phi. Additionally, she served on the social committee and community service committee where she helped organize fundraisers for local organizations such as the Low County Food Bank, My Sister’s House, the South Carolina Special Olympics, and Charleston Hope.

Jessica was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in 2020. Prior to taking a position at the Law Office of Kathryn M. Cockrill, Jessica worked in firms focused on family law, criminal law, and civil litigation. However, since working alongside her mentor, Kathryn Cockrill, Jessica has developed a strong passion in Elder Law. As associate, she assists in all probate administrations and guardianship and conservatorship proceedings.

Jessica is a current member of the South Carolina and Charleston County Bar Associations. She also serves as a Charleston County Guardian Ad Litem for abused and neglected children in the Low County. When she is not in the office, she enjoys traveling, live music, football season, and spending her time with friends and family. In her spare time, Jessica Duffy enjoys kick boxing.
